Center Faculty & Staff

The UCLA BRITE Center for Science Research and Policy succeeds on the strength of its outstanding faculty and staff. Under the guidance of Vickie Mays, PhD, MSPH and an executive leadership committee, the Center includes more than a dozen faculty members from several UCLA schools and departments. These researchers are able to draw on diverse backgrounds to bring together at the Center a set of complementary skills and ideas that advance our understanding of the problems involved in health care access and use.

The faculty are supported by nearly 60 full- and part-time staff members whose areas of expertise include health research and policy, public service, statistics, programming, communications, administration, and finance.

UCLA undergraduate and graduate students, and post-doctoral fellows work on the Center’s many research projects and programs. The Center also encourages collaborative research among faculty and researchers in the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health, The UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs, the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, other professional schools and academic departments, and other health policy institutes.
