Meeting of Society for Personality and Social Psychology

This symposium will bring together psychophysiologists, health psychologists, and public health researchers that study chronic physiological stress and health outcomes as a function of discrimination experiences or prejudicial attitudes. As such, the symposium will feature multi-method and interdisciplinary approaches thatshow that prejudice is not good for anyone: neither the victims nor the perpetrators. Dr. Mays will present: “A Double-Edged Sword: How Prejudice Affects Chronic Stress and Health for Both Targets and Perceivers.”
